MR. CfEN: I presune you will consult your Government. As far as the future of this Conference is concerned we suggest that the Conference stands adjourned and that in

the meanwhile correspondence between the Consul General

and the Foreign Minister be carried on. We do not want

a breakdown. We have suggested a positive solution which may

take time but promises an eventual settlement. We are on

the eve of big things.

MR. KEMP: If the Enquiry is to take place, and if the French are to take part, I preaune that paragraph (b) of

of a French judge.
